On and off for many years, I have experienced various medical conditions that after 15 years of seeing various Physicians and Specialists, no one was able to diagnose, only treated the symptoms. After seeing yet another Specialist in Florida who referred me to the Mayo Clinic, I did my own research and decided to relocate to Houston to specifically go to Houston Methodist for treatment, with Dr. Andrew Kim as my PCP/Internist. As soon as I relocated to Houston in February 2024, I had an appointment to see Dr. Kim within two days and he immediately established a treatment plan and had gotten me in to see various Specialists (all who have been WONDERFUL) to test/treat what has been making me ill. After 15+ years of seeing multiple Doctors in different states, I have never had a Physician take the initiative to not only devise a treatment plan, but to follow through every step along the way and to have my referrals expedited. I am extremely thankful for Dr. Kim and his nurse, Helen, for being so caring, responsive and going above and beyond in making sure that I’m OK. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and contemplated going to the Cleveland Clinic as it would have been closer to “home.” However, I’m extremely pleased that I followed my instincts and came to Houston Methodist as each and every single Physician I have seen has been absolutely phenomenal in every single aspect, and I truly feel as though I have Dr. Andrew Kim to thank for this, along with Houston Methodist for hiring the “Best of the Best”! From someone who has been ill and haven’t been able to receive or find the proper care, I HIGHLY recommend not only Houston Methodist, but Dr. Andrew Kim as he listened and took immediate action. I am extremely grateful for Dr. Kim’s care, guidance and overall knowledge and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a Provider and a healthcare system that will always go the extra mile when it comes to your health.
