Mom was assigned this doctor at Saint Peter's University hospital. Days later, after they ran all the tests and repeatedly told my mom that she would be discharged, she wasn't. She stayed multiple extra days in the hospital, atrophying from being confined to a bed. Why was this necessary? Because Dr. Sandhu couldn't be bothered to get sign off from the specialists to discharge her. When I pressed the nurses to understand why she couldn't be released, they repeatedly called the doctor until, finally, at night, she sent in the discharge order. The order said she should take seizure medicine the next morning. Dr. Sandhu said she would send in the prescription. It's the next day and I've called the hospital and pharmacy repeatedly and the doctor still hasn't submitted the prescription. I've never experienced such negligence and disregard for a patient's wellbeing.
