First of all, I don't get to see the doctor but the PA. Then when I see her, she sends me to do physical therapy because for some reason, this has to happen before I get an MRI. Never mind that I have been in PT already for months and that I don't get better. I was told that if I got an MRI, I would probably have to have surgery. Well, should I not be the decision maker on that if that is the case? I had a follow up appointment which I could not make it to, and I cancelled appropriately but when I called to reschedule today, I was told I had to complete my PT in order to see the PA. I had an appointment the week before but now I have complete PT? I told the lady on the phone that I was in incredibly bad pain, and she again told me I had to complete PT. So, let me get this? PT is not working, I am in major pain, I needs meds, something, but the doctor can't see me? What kind of practice is this? I am so disappointed with Baptist Orthopedics. Just like a surgeon will not see me without an MRI that I can't even have because they won't give me the prescription.

I made an appointment with Dr Mena and was assigned to his nurse practitioner. Appointment was put out about a month. They took insurance information and said they took my coverage. I waited the month. My appointment was for August 24th. The staff calls me on the 23rd to tell me that they don't take my coverage. I waited a month for incompetence. Now I have to find another doctor and wait another one or two months. Your staff is incompetent.
