My husband was admitted to hospital during an episode we thought might have been a TIA. During the stay he was referred to and seen by several specialists, After 2 days of waiting solely on Dr. Chaka, his APN saw him and agreed with the pacemaker tech that his pacemaker needed replacing His office was supposed to schedule the procedure and call us. They didn’t. My husband called and said that he was supposed to be scheduled for surgery. He was told he had to see Dr. Chaka in the office first. She started to schedule an appointment 6 weeks later. My husband, upset but still polite, said that wasn’t right and tried to explain. He was accused of being disrespectful and said she did not have to be spoken to like that. He was transferred to another staff person who checked with the APN. He was still required to have an office visit. He finally had the procedure done 2days ago but again Dr.. Chaka did not see us afterwards He was discharged by the APN. We are totally disgusted.
