Patient Reviews
Apr 07, 2021
AfterUrgent Care 2 months ago, I was referred to a urologist who I was told specialized in my condition.I waited 2 weeks for an appointment and went to visit him, he told me that he did not have the equipment to perform a cystoscopy (how could a urologist NOT have a cystoscope?) and that he highly recommended Dr. Shah because he is an even more specialized doctor. I had to wait another two weeks in pain before I could get an appointment.I had to spend $80 round-trip on an Uber.I was checked in and then had an APRN come to take my medical history, even though she had the notes from ALL the doctors from the past 5 years right in front of her on the computer screen-she said that Dr. Shah had to make on an evaluation based on her questions. This took half an hour. Then I had to wait another 10 minutes for Dr. Shah, who came in and talked to me for about 5 minutes before deciding to switch my medications without examining me and referred me to his colleague to do the cystoscope in 3 weeks.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
