Alex Tischler is the physical therapist to choose. In fact, I'd give him 10 stars if I could. After knee replacement surgery with Dr. Michael Nett, Chief of Orthopedics at South Shore University Hospital, I chose to go to STARS in Bay Shore, NY after I finished my home PT. From the first day of my physical therapy with Alex I was very impressed with his expertise, care and consideration. From his 'hands-on' PT at the beginning of each visit to the use of the various machines he knew when to encourage me to do 'just a few more reps' or add some weight to the apparatus. I willingly did the exercises (although, as expected, they did hurt) because I wanted to achieve or even exceed my and my surgeon's expectations. I recently completed my PT at STARS and am thrilled to say that I have achieved my goals of 120 degrees bending my leg and walking without a cane or walker. Thanks to Alex for everything he did to help me reach my goals.
