I’ve been seeing Dr. Alma for the last 5-6 years and can happily say that I had a good experience with her. However, there has been some concerns lately similar to some of the reviews below which I want to address. 1) I changed my insurance 3 times in the last six years. Normally, if a doctor is out of network they inform you. This was never mentioned to me when I have been visiting. Im happy to pay as this is not the issue on my end. I was finally notified this year and noticed bills pending on my accounts 2) I scheduled an annual physical and the receptionist ( Hispanic lady ) texted advising me my appointment is cancelled unless i confirm to pay since I’m out of network. Fee is $100. Why was my appointment cancelled? I never authorized this. I always pay a co pay so if i need to pay more that’s fine. This is a doctor i trusted so money wasn’t the issue. 3) Dr emailed me stating that I should not worry about the bills although is it outstanding. She stated that I only pay a co pay not the $100 fee mentioned from the receptionist. 4) I emailed back to ask if what she said was correct or what the receptionist said was correct so I can verify and come in. Once again, I’ve been seeing her for years with no issues. 5) Unresponsive. I emailed 4 times asking to confirm if I really did not have to pay the bills and if i can come in. No response at all. Once again, I have no issues with Dr. Alma. She’s been good to me. However, this past incidents were very unexpected and unprofessional. Receptionists are the reason why people are leaving and other reviews state it as well. It’s concerning how the establishment cannot apologize or accept the mistakes for a long time client. Seeing the reviews below and the responses back show it all. The way the responses are back to the clients writing reviews are terrible and I’m sure they will response harsh here as well as they are used to.
