After spending 14 days in the hospital with cognitive issues, balance problems and memory loss, this doctor told me that I needed to 'get a schedule, go for a run and get back to work'. While I was having a focal seizure in his office, he asked me; 'why are you looking over there, look at me'. 1 week later I had a major seizure and was taken by ambulance only to find out that I have encephelitis and need steriods, therapy and can't work. I wish he would of at least taken the time to say that this doesn't look like a concussion, but instead offered some kindness and a referral to somewhere else. Instead he just shook his head and scolded me. I have had so many people tell me good things about the other doctors at UPCM concussion clinic. But I got stuck with this one.
