After years of positive experiences with therapy, Connie was my first awful experience. She had a habit of making assumptions about my situation instead of asking questions to better understand the context. It turned exploratory conversations into accusatory ones, and I terminated the relationship after a handful of sessions because my mental health declined and the conversations were not productive. She also had a habit of sharing her opinion inappropriately and far too often. I did appreciate that she would spend extra time with the client after the session wrapped up if needed, which was very kind of her.
