Deborah Thevenin, PhD

Dr. Thevenin is the only therapist I've ever been to so I'm not sure how useful this review will be. Though I don't believe she's perfect, I think she deserves a better rating than 2.5 stars (as it is currently). I did feel like she listened and she was pretty kind to me. She genuinely made an effort to get to the bottom of my problems. For anxiety, she puts a large focus on ACT therapy and meditation. Via studying ACT under her guidance I think I made some progress. Honestly my largest complaint is that when I was doing a bit better she made me feel as if I wasn't worth her time because I was only talking about daily troubles. She told me to only call her to make a new appointment when I felt I really needed her; I felt too dissed to come back when I did. It also seemed she got annoyed that I wasn't doing the meditation, but I'm sure it would've helped if I did. Overall I liked her. I'm sensitive so it's easy to offend me so don't worry. I would give her a try and see how you feel!
