I saw Dr. M from about 2020 to 2024. She was kind, but the therapeutic relationship involved blurred boundaries, inconsistent roles, and a lack of recognition of trauma responses. I developed increasing emotional dependence while core issues related to attachment trauma were never addressed. When I later entered an IOP program, I was immediately screened for complex PTSD — something that had not been acknowledged throughout our work. I left feeling exposed and used in ways that did not support my healing.
