I echo the unpleasant experience with Diane True, LICSW, described by other reviews. Her methods feel antiquated and out of date. Her personality is standoffish and not conducive to the formation of a therapeutic alliance (people need to feel comfortable and at ease sharing things with their therapist.) She tells people how they ought to feel instead of asking how in actuality they feel. This seemed strange. She did not respond kindly or appropriately when I asked her about her specific experience treating my specific issues. As potential clients we have a right to know this. She seemed defensive as if I was questioning her methods. This is a huge red flag to me. While she may have years of experience in her field I did not feel comfortable interacting with her or pursuing treatment from her.
