I had a very frustrating experience with One Medical, specifically involving Abby Lancaster and their billing department.I scheduled a visit strictly for an EKG and routine bloodwork after confirming those services were available. When I arrived, I was simply waiting for those services when Abby came out, brought me into her office briefly, asked a few general questions, and then sent me on my way to complete the EKG and bloodwork I had originally scheduled.I did not book, request, or need a broader medical consultation. However, after the visit, I was charged an additional $178 because the provider allegedly “discussed multiple conditions” and reviewed a note I had shared beforehand.At no point was I informed that this brief interaction would change the scope of the visit or result in a significantly higher charge. There was zero transparency about any increase in cost.What’s more disappointing is that after I raised the concern, the billing team stood by the charge without me
