I was exceptionally disappointed in my entire experience with the Headache Clinic in Southington. When I first called for an appointment, I was told I would have to wait 5 months because the doctor was on maternity leave. After waiting the 5 months, I was only allowed to see the nurse. When I called to set a second appointment, this time with the doctor, I was told I couldn't change care practitioners. My insurance was billed as though I saw a doctor. The nurse's focus on my visit was on pain management, not investigating root causes. I was instructed to have an MRI done and told it needed to be done at a particular facility that was outside of my insurance plan's network. Throughout, the staff was less than kind and warm. The facility itself is stark and uninviting. There is something fishy about the entire backoffice which I suspect based on how my visit was billed and the strong-arm tactics used on where I was to have the MRI completed.
