12/24/24 I was notified after a colonoscopy that I had signs of cancer in the colon. The colonoscopy was performed by a doctor out where I live in East Texas. He referred me to a doctor in Dallas on that day and sent all my info to that colon / rectal doctor. 2 weeks later I had heard nothing from that particular doctor. I started to search for my own doctor , which to say was very stressful and scary. After days of research and 100’s of reviews I landed upon Dr Dowli. I called his Frisco office and by my surprise was scheduled for initial visit 3 days later. I had my original doctor send all his findings to Dr Dowlis office so when we met he would have all the info. So on my 1st visit , Dr Dowli was straight to the point with a bedside manner I have not seen by many doctors. He took time to explain EVERYTHING in terms I could understand and showed me through drawings to simplify what he was saying. At this time he wanted to perform his own colonoscopy so he knew and saw 1st hand what we were up against. Next he wanted to get all testing prior to any surgery done ( MRI’s , CT , blood draws , ) to ensure that there was no spread of the cancer from colon. This was a challenge for his assistant due to we lived 2 hours from Dallas and needed all appointments scheduled for the same day so we did not have to drive in day after day, but they accomplished in a very timely manner. Now came the scary part , locking down surgery and discussing again the processes of pre op , during op , and post op . Surgery date was scheduled ( 1 month 20 days ) from our initial meeting and my wife and myself felt extremely satisfied with our choice on Dr Dowli. Day of surgery , needless to say I was very nervous and anxious, but during pre op Dr Dowli assured us he would take great care of me. After surgery and recover room was sent to my room in hospital , where the nurses got me settled in for the night. Next morning, Dr Dowli arrived and explained to me and my wife that the surgery was 100% successful and I was cancer free. While removing the colon cancer he examined other organs and saw no spread of cancer, which confirmed all test prior to operation. I believe with all my heart , Dr Dowli saved my life from this cancer and his whole approach to fighting cancer from start to finish was simply and by far the most astonishing thing I think I’ve ever experienced. My wife and I believe if you need a Colon Retal doctor , you 100% owe to yourself to see this physician. Thank you Dr Dowli and staff , truly.
