Normally I wouldn’t take the time to negatively review a doctor, but Dr Meredith will be my exception. Dr Meredith was my pulmonologist for probably 16 years. There were times I was impressed with Dr Meredith. But my last visit will be my last. February of 2026. Is Dr Meredith a “caring” doctor? No. She sees her patients. and as long as you don’t have any great expectations, she is ok. Were there visits when I thought her care was exceptional? Yes. A few. In my last visit with her I dared to disagree with her opinion. She didn’t bother to even try to understand my point of view or what I thought or felt. Her last words to me ( I had been a patient for sixteen years) were as SHE WALKED OUT OF THE EXAM ROOM, “if you have problems breathing, don’t call me or come to North Kansas City Hospital. We can’t help you. Go on to KU. Please understand at that time I had no doctors at K U Her treatment was cruel and should be accountable in some way to North Kansas City Hospital and to me.

So disappointed-because all my other visits with her were excellent. This time she spent 2 minutes in the room and was very dismissive of my symptoms. Would not even listen to me voice my feelings. I believe she spoke with her nurse and came in with the attitude-if you don’t agree with my thinking-although after numerous tests she has absolutely no idea what is going on with me. If I didn’t want to do a 4 hour pulmonology test then she didn’t want to have anything to do with me. Not a good experience.
