Sharing my experience with Dr. Stephens so others are aware of what to REALLY expect when seeing her. I went to her for a unknown mark that was on my face. This mark had been there for about a year. Dr. Stephens comes in the room and stays for not even 5 minutes before she disappears and heads to the next patient. Within that 5 minutes of her being in the room she tells me I have a condition called granuloma annulare, I was confused because she didn't ask me any questions, she didn't look at the pictures I brought to show her NOTHING....she simply looked at my face for a few seconds and "diagnosed" me. She then prescribed me two creams and directed me to start taking them ASAP. Fast forward a little...those creams did NOTHING for me besides make my face discolored and worse that what it had originally been. I went back for one follow up with Dr. Stephens and she didn't have much to say besides to keep using the creams as instructed. I decided to cancel all following appointments with Dr. Stephens. In total I spent $335 with her for NOTHING. I finally decided to research Board Certified Dermatologist and found an amazing Dr. As soon as I stepped foot in his office he thoroughly examined my face and other parts of my body making sure the marks weren't anywhere else. He then told me he thinks I have skin lupus and immediately did a biopsy on me. He was shocked that my previous Dr. didn't think to do a biopsy on me or any blood work. Within less than two days my biopsy results came back and My Dr. Called me with the news, he was extremely informative and prescribed me with the correct treatment for my skin. It's only been two weeks and I see a tremendous difference in my skin. My new Dr. also did blood work on me to make sure everything was okay with me internally. Please do your research before choosing a Dr. and if something doesn't feel right the first time it's okay to not go back. Hopefully this review helps others.
