Banner Gateway Emergency departmentAbscessed Tooth that caused half my face to swell to the point my eye was swollen shut. I just need an antibiotic. Background- I am an ahcccs patient. $1000 of dental per year for EMERGENCIES only and that does not cover anesthesia for oral surgery, ALL of my teeth have to be removed surgically. I was forced to get gastric sleeve 8 years ago in order to have back surgery and the sleeve RUINED my teeth. I am on pain management for my back because the surgeries didn’t fix the issues. She didn’t take ANY of that into consideration before calling me a drug seeking, meth addict that ruined my teeth to her nurse just outside my exam room door. She has no empathy and apparently can’t read a patients chart. She shouldn’t be allowed to speak to patients, especially those who are already having a day horrible enough to land them in the emergency room. I hope one day she gets a doctor that’s as awful to her as she has been to the patients she has ”treated”.
