The visit with the doctor itself was fine. The clinic staff was friendly. However, when I got my test results from a simple preventative screening, I then learned that additional tests were performed that I was not informed about. Not only that, but I received a bill for them since my insurance didn't cover them fully. Had I been informed ahead of time, I would not have authorized these tests. I then filed a complaint with the hospital about the bill, only to be informed that the doctor claims she "discussed everything with the patient." Again, if she had ACTUALLY discussed it with me, I would not have authorized the additional tests. They were performed completely without my knowledge. So now I'm stuck paying the bill regardless, since it's my word against hers.... the lack of transparency just baffled me, and this was only for a simple screening. We had not even gotten to the actual point of what I came in for (which was not her fault). I will not return, because not only did this happen in the first place, but then I was treated like I was making up wild accusations on top of it. Healthcare should be transparent, and I, as the patient, should be informed about my care, including tests and other procedures.
