I brought my son to Cedar Dental due to his dental anxiety. They offered oral sedation, which felt safer than IV sedation. I was quoted $557.40 out of pocket for a root canal. On the day of the procedure, while my son was already sedated, I was told to pay over $1,000 due to undisclosed charges, including $600 for sedation and other non-covered items. Hours later, I was told the dentist wouldn’t complete the procedure because my son moved in discomfort. They restrained him and demanded $2,700 more for IV sedation to continue. I declined. They refused a refund and said they'd bill insurance in full anyway. I found another dentist who completed the root canal without sedation for $191. Cedar Dental misled me, failed to disclose costs, and put my child through unnecessary distress. I do not recommend them, especially for children with anxiety or special needs.
