I was given some unexpected and upsetting news regarding my 12 year old son's health and it was very timely that he get in to see a specialist. I needed to get him in to a pediatric endocrinologist as soon as possible. We were given 2 referrals by his pediatrician, Hartford Children's and Yale. Hartford Children's was booking months out and when I called Yale, I was given an appointment with Dr. Darukhanavala 6 weeks from that date. I immediately emailed her and less than 24 hours later she had emailed me back and got him an appointment within a week. She confirmed the need to act immediately to get the best outcome for my son and she did just that. She has been very patient and caring and during appointments spent as much time as we need answering questions. We have never felt rushed and she is very compassionate. I can't recommend her enough to families navigating their children's health issues.
