A family member was seeking emergency care and ended up in a setting where no translators were provided and this doctor who speaks only English assessed them. The lack of an interpreters or even an app prevented any clinical assessment of cognition/AMS and the patient being able to communicate clearly escalating symptoms and a family history of strokes and heart attacks.
