I am a tricky patient with a much lower than average heart rate and an apparent natural rejection to some pain management efforts (I’ve had three epidurals that’s never took). I wake up early in surgery, haves hard time managing pain, and was extremely nervous going into my recent procedure. Dr. Allen was EXTREMELY patient, kind, and attentive. He very closely listened to me and my concerns. I felt very heard and moved forward trusting his judgement. When I woke up after a very successful experience, I cried, I was so grateful. The nurses were all sorts of concerned but it was just happy tears of gratitude and relief for Dr. Allen and his expertise, attention to details, and care with his patients. Thank you soo much Dr. Allen. I’m no longer as terrified moving forward with potential future surgeries knowing you, and doctors like you, are in the world.
