I absolutely adore Dr. Patel. I first met him years ago when he was doing his cardiology fellowship at University of Washington and the doctor I worked for at UW and I shared the office with the fellowship office. He was always very kind to me when I interacted with him there (which was not always the case with all of the cardiac fellows), and then when I began seeing him as a cardiology patient I was so impressed with his compassion, his knowledge (and I knew his training was top notch), his willingness to see me as a whole person and not just as a body part, and his willingness to include me in the medical decisions that are made about and for my body. He asked if I wanted to see a cardiologist closer to home, but I told him I don't mind driving all the way into Seattle, because I like him and trust him.
