Fantastic surgeon. Highly, highly recommend him! He performed a robotic inguinal hernia repair; I never had a single moment of regret that I chose him as my surgeon. (I had previously experienced THREE failed ‘open’ inguinal hernia repairs over preceding years, and there is NO COMPARISON with those surgeries with how GREAT my post-operative course was with Dr. Ankit D Patel! He was so very thorough with his pre-op planning and explanations of the procedure. On the day of surgery, he was so reassuring and comforting in his interactions with my family. There was not one single ‘glitch’ at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital throughout the entire experience. Dr. Patel's highly trained surgical assistants are second to none. The surgery was not an uncomfortable experience, at all. I might add that I am a retired MD, and I feel that I know a superb medical doctor when I see one. Dr. Ankit D Patel is DEFINITELY A TOP SURGEON!
