I am so happy to have found Dr.Kundel. After extensive research and having seen 3 surgeons in total, I am so happy to say that she was my top choice. Dr .Kundel is very positive, explains everything in clear words and is a caring doctor. Another endocrine surgeon was basically pushing me to remove my entire thyroid due to my condition, but I was adamant that I want to try and save a lobe if possible. She explained the procedure , what technology she uses to locate the vocal cords and why I am a good candidate for a lobectomy versus a thyroidectomy . I am pleased to say that I had my surgery on Monday without any issues. I was discharged about 5 hours post op .It's been 3 days now and I didn't need to take any pain medication at all. That definitely says something about the surgeon's hands . My voice is still a little raspy , but that's definitely expected after being intubated. I am confident that my scar will heal nicely and I'll try to update the review at that time with a photo. Thank you Dr.Kundel for being awesome:)
