My husband and I came into Emergency because of his UTI and consistently experiencing blood in his urine. When Dr. Avendano came over to speak with us, she was immediately very unwelcoming and cold. She asked my husband who I was and when he said 'my wife', she didn't even say hello. While my husband was explaining his symptoms, she gave very short responses as if this was the last thing she wanted to be dealing with. Her listening skills weren't the best either as my husband was clear that he was currently taking antibiotics and still had a few days left to finish the prescription. When she told us what she was prescribing for him, I asked if he needed to stop taking his current meds or continue, and she replies 'I was under the impression you were done with your current medication'. She just acted like she didn't care to be in, and didn't approach my husband (who was very anxious) with any warmth, care or concern.

She’s the rudest “doctor” I’ve ever met, went into the ER with my stomach literally feeling like it was going to tear open, and she looked at me and talked all slow and dumb like I didn’t understand and told me that it’s nothing. And then when she ordered a U/S she ordered it for the wrong side of my abdomen when I told her it was my left, they didn’t even go over the side I told her I was experiencing pain in. So I started to cry and she kept talking to me like I was dumb and I asked for a CT and she looked at me and told me I’ll just be wasting my time and she can just send me home with pain killers and it’ll go away. I told her I wanted the CT and sure enough, they found what was wrong. Absolute worst person to go to for any medical evaluation
