My sister is a patient at Providence St. John’s, having just suffered an infection that worsened her already declining cognitive abilities to the point where she was unable to speak or recognize me or my other sister over the phone. We live in New York and are currently under flying restrictions after both of us having had recent subsequent surgeries. Dr. Roozrokh took the time out to speak to us over the phone several times times in a matter of a few days, keeping us updated and walking us through her recovery and what to expect in the future. He even took it upon himself to use his own phone to FaceTime us so my sisters and i could all see one another, which greatly improved my sister’s frame of mind, as well as her recognition and ability to speak to us. I have never experienced such a kind and compassionate doctor and I am forever grateful to Dr. Roozrokh.
