The doctor often interrupted my answers to his questions or questions I had for him. He made assumptions about what I was going to say and what my answers were going to be. For example, on more than one occasion he recommended I see an allergist to get tested. I gave up on my fourth attempt trying to explain to him I had already seen an allergist and had been tested. Those results were available to him had he actually opened my file and become familiar with my case. Clearly he had not done that. The doctor needs to realize that each case is individual and doesn't follow a cookie cutter recipe. He is doing a disservice to his patients if he does not take the time to keep quiet and listen. A lot can be revealed through a conversation, but a conversation cannot take place when the doctor is constantly interrupting the patient who is trying to explain their unique symptoms.
