Dr McManus may be a great doctor BUT we would not know. In early May my husband was referred to Dr McManus for dementia. Called as was told first opening was in last week of September and to see the PA not the doctor. Scheduled the appointment for a local office. Two months later was called and told that office was closing on September 1 and we would now need to go to downtown Pittsburgh.Made arrangements for transportation for that appointment as we could not get an appointment with another neurologist any sooner. Two hours before the appointment we got a call saying appointment canceled due to a death in PA family. Reschedule was now for mid-November. Called back to ask for advice on how to deal with husband deteriorating condition while we waited. Were told to talk to Life coach. Left message for Life coach but no call back. Tried to call P Long practice supervisor to see if anything could be worked out-- again no call back. So doctor may be great but staff isn't.
