He dismissed my concerns about potentially having POTS by quickly feeling my pulse from a sitting to standing position, despite me having a log of such heart rate changes over weeks showing more than a 30 increase in bpm. He attributed my symptoms as normal female physiology. Another cardiologist requested I complete a tilt table test that indeed showed I had POTS, which gives me a better understanding of my health and how to tackle strength training and exercise as I enter middle age.
