I recently had my first telehealth appointment with Dr. Lieu, and unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing experience. From the outset, Dr. Lieu displayed a dismissive attitude and lacked both compassion and empathy. He consistently interrupted me, making it difficult to explain my concerns. The visit felt rushed, lasting a mere 4 minutes and 23 seconds, which gave me the impression that my concerns were not taken seriously. This lack of attentiveness and respect left me feeling unheard and undervalued as a patient. Overall, I would not recommend Dr. Lieu based on my experience. A provider's role is not only to diagnose but to listen and provide care with empathy—qualities that were entirely absent during my visit.
