My husband was intubated, NG tube into stomach, units of blood, plasma, etc., ambulated from MVH Main to UC and told they had no ENT’s at the regions #1 trauma center. UC plugged his nose, took him off Clopidigrel then back on and sent home on Sunday. On Monday morning before the sun came up, the ambulance was called again. I didn’t know where to send my husband. The EMT promised me that the staff at Kettering Grandview would care for and advocate for my husband. Bleed profusely and on the ebb of passing out, Dr. Szelestey looked at my husband and told him, we’re gonna take care of you buddy, you’ve been through a lot! After surgery, he was not intubated, no NG tube and Dr. Blake Szelesty had cauterized multiple bleeds in my husband’s nose! I have never felt such a sense of care, concern and relief! Thank God for your healing hands Dr. Blake!!!
