The meniscectomy surgery seemed to go well, but my swelling never completely subsided nor did the pain. I went back to see him at least three times but didn't feel his follow-up was very thorough. Each time after a two minute visit with him, I was simply offered the opportunity to have the knee drained and/or shot up with steroids by his PA. I finally quit going because I didn't feel I was being heard and hoped that rest and time would take care of lingering issues. Now it's a year later and I have severe arthritis in that knee (x-ray) and, after a second MRI initiated by my family doctor, find that I have another (or the same?) meniscus tear. I honestly don't know if I re tore the darned thing or if the original repair was never successful. Just be wary and be sure to ask plenty of questions prior to committing to surgery with him
