Based on our experience, Dr Hoffman did not take enough care to prevent infection During a rectal EUS biopsy on my husband.Within a week of her outpatient procedure, he developed an ESBL infection which required a month long hospital stay, weeks worth of daily wound washing which was excruciating, and 30 days of IV antibiotics. We appealed to the hospital liaison for help with the bill, but NO consideration was given.
