On New Year's Eve 2020 I arrived at BN ER post CABG 8 days. Dr. Brian McDonnell talked easy with me on the gurney. (No one allowed with me, son in his car in parking lot, thanks Covid) When Dr. M saw my MRI he rushed at me saying, ' Brain bleed!' I was dumbstruck, terrified as he stayed by me for the 'stroke shot' and he then wheeling me into an ambulance to Good Samaritan Neuro ICU. His swift movements told me the level of urgency that I will never forget. A goal yet still undone... the box of chocolate to hand him when I tell him, 'Dr. McDonnell, I made it!'.
