The first time I saw Dr Brian Ralph he asked me to remove my shoes. Then instead of looking at my feet he looked at the soles of my shoes. I was confused. But he said this would tell him how I walked. This visit was about fifteen years ago. I never forgot that tip. Recently I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my ankles and hips. I remembered Dr Ralph’s suggestion. I looked at the bottom of my shoes. I was walking on the outside of both feet, my left foot I wasn’t doing a heel to toe walk at all..just keeping the foot flat. I wear rocking shoes for plantar fasciitis which seems to keep coming back with flat shoes. My left shoe had no wear at all....pristine clean on the heel and toe. I am now practicing walking heel to toe with both feet and using the whole foot not just the outer edge. I am sure this will help. Thanks for the tip, Fr Ralph.
