Dr. Carl Crew Jr, MD

I saw Dr. Crew as a resident in psychiatry in the 1980’s for psychotherapy supervision. With the advent of managed care and (mostly wonderful) advances in biological psychiatry and pharmaceuticals, still it helps any psychiatrist to have a good understanding of “psychodynamics”—the psychological basis for mental illness. UC was an excellent place to get this understanding in the 1970’s-1990’s. IDK how it is now. Dr. Crew helped me fathom some difficult patients, who ended up getting better! He also told me I was highly intuitive,—always a plus when practicing psychotherapy! As others have said, he’s a nice guy; compassionate and understanding. I have no experience w/him where he was my psychotherapist, but based on my supervisory experience, I’d say that he would be at least fine, if not great! Check him out!
