I was planning on having my last visit at Vantage Medical in August 2024 (they have various facilities in Brooklyn and Queens). I had grown tired of medical providers who only saw me as a set of symptoms to treat with high doses of pharmaceuticals, rather than as a person. During my first visit with Dr. Carlos Herrera, he asked a thorough set of questions about my family medical history, lifestyle, and work conditions. He conducted a general check-up and recommended alternative approaches to address the issues I had been experiencing for the past four years. Over the following months, as I began to develop other symptoms, Dr. Herrera asked to review the notes from all the specialists I had seen in order to determine the next best steps for my care. He is truly remarkable, caring, and personable. I highly recommend visiting his office.
