I went to the emergency room at almost midnight on Labor Day. Dr. Featherly was very thorough, took xrays and kept taking xrays until he knew exactly what was wrong. He literally saved my life as I had a ruptured colon. All hospitals in Joplin & Springfield were full. He kept checking for a hospital bed and a surgeon who could perform such a specialized surgery until he found CMH in Bolivar. His determination and commitment to my survival actually saved my life. He immediately sent me by ambulance to CMH in Bolivar, MO. I was told by one of my surgeons that I would not have survived another hour without surgery. I am so grateful for Dr. Featherly and Cedar County Memorial Hospital.
