Pain after spinal surgery and this “doctor” recommended talk therapy. I have found male doctors are more dismissive of females pain and he was no exception. He did offer me an injection that in his own words could last “A few hours or weeks.” I had no interest in seeking care from somebody that has very little experience. I thought since he was working at UCSF, he would be more up to date on current pain management but that definitely was not the case.
