It took me a very very long time to feel brave enough to post a review. This person is quite possibly the worst medical professional I've ever had the misfortune of encountering. I had the multitude of tests required before the surgery. Results showed an abnormally enlarged liver and blood count which showed cancer. Dr. Ren either chose to ignore this or was truly too incompetent to read the diagnosis. A random assistant physician came in before surgery and asked if anyone had looked at results of my tests. At the time I did not know I had cancer. Clearly, Dr. Ren chose to ignore the charts and joked to me and my family about the size of my liver. At no point did she suggest further tests. I can't say for sure she was motivated by greed, but that office was like a turnstile of patients rushed in and out. I could not recover from the surgery since my body was already so weakened. I am still in constant pain and have issues with keeping down any food. I was told that I could not sue this individual since I survived the surgery. Imagine that. If you plan on using this doctor do extensive research to see about the other person whose wife was not as fortunate. Incidentally, the recovery room nurse at the time was of the cruelest I've ever encountered, which was also bizarre. I've been fortunate in life to encounter some of the most gifted, compassionate and committed tonhealing physicians on the planet. Dr. Ren is the opposite of those things.

Dr. Ren Fielding is an excellent doctor. I lost half my body weight after having lap-band surgery and got my health and life back.
