As I was describing my symptoms and how they have escalated in severity over the previous 2 years, he interrupted me to tell me that I 'probably just have IBS'. He did not palpate or even look at my stomach - and one of the first things I told him was that I can see and feel a bulge in my abdomen. When I asked about a colonoscopy he rattled off the risks in a bored tone; it felt like he agreed to schedule the procedure just to get me out of the office. I ended up cancelling it because I simply do not trust this provider given my experiences in this first appointment. I am still waiting to hear back from UCHealth if they will allow me to schedule with someone else...just more delays in care.
