He was the ED attending when I arrived with a burn to the palm of my hand. I told the doctor I was concerned about the blistering and ROM. He merely glanced over my hand, stated, '1000mg acetaminophen' and left the room. The nurse came back later and said that the order took him a while and he never returned. The nurse took better care of me, wrapped my hand, and sent me home with more supplies. Now, I'm billed a $250 for something I could have done at home. It wasn't until I unwrapped it the next morning to more blisters on my finger tips, more pain, numbness and tingling not to mention it is making my job rough. My discharge papers read superficial when it is clearly 2nd degree. Thanks, doc!
