His laziness, refusal to listen to the patient, making up his mind in advance of appointment, not taking a history, put psychiatric diagnoses in a chart that he never talked to the patient about, and were not accurate. Diagnoses were later ruled out, turned out to be a brain lesion. Dismissive and arrogant. Created bias against patient that affected medical care for year. Do not go to him.

Dr. Bermant was my first encounter with a psychiatrist and I did not last long. I came to him for help with anxiety and he prescribed me medication for it the first visit. The second time I saw him I told him my symptoms were about the same and he doubled my dose of medication in which made me feel worse. Pill pusher and would not recommend. He doesn’t establish a connection with patients well either. Don’t waste your time.
