Dr. Christopher Shuman, MD

My doctor requested 2 MRI's to be done at Watauga MRI in Boone NC. Insurance had approved BOTH MRI's and I pre-payed the hospital for both, this was so I could get the discount offered by billing. If I did not pay before services I would not get a discount. Dr. Shuman has never seen me in any professional sense and I have never heard of him before going to Watauga MRI. He denied my lumbar MRI despite not having any knowledge of my medical history and despite me having paid thousands for the MRI. His technicians refused to give an explanation and just told me to call billing, which is a nightmare by itself considering getting money back from hospitals is a long shot. I am not sure what his problem is but he cost me thousands of dollars and hindered my doctor in getting medical information we needed.
