We sought out Dr. Stingl based on research and reviews. Dr Stingl was provided the results of testing for the last two years and a daily symptom log of the last 5 weeks documenting escalating symptoms leaving our son unable to fully participate in normal life. Dr. Stingl’s after visit medical advice, “I would try putting him to bed 30 minutes early consistently for 2 weeks and see what happens with his fatigue.” (Of note: in the appointment, when asked how much sleep he gets (10-11 hrs), Dr. Stingl said, “Can’t get much more than that.”) And as mentioned, symptoms have existed for years. When asked for additional thoughts/direction, his only advice was to keep the scheduled endocrinology appointment, for which he had no suggested questions or topics we might raise. Rheumatology aside, we hoped a physician would see a child getting worse and offer some support.
