Very difficult to get an appointment with Dr. Struthers. I have had to physically go to the Shepherdstown office to make an appointment. I don't yet have a warm connection with Dr. Struthers after my two visits but chose her randomly because the physician I had been seeing left WVU Medicine. On January 16th, when I had an annual physical, the person drawing blood, I believe named Patty, was so rough, I was bruised for over a week with some mild discomfort in the area the blood was drawn. There is no response from patient advocates and I felt it was useless to tell Dr. Struthers. I would not be able to reach her in any case. I have very few options in terms of health care with WVU Medicine. Two weeks ago, I fell and broke two ribs. The only access I had was WVU Inwood Urgent Care. I have had a pronounced cough with discharge since Feb. 24th but don't even bother to call the Shepherdstown office. I am thankful for even minimal care when I can get it.
