Patient Reviews

My pain management sent him a referral for my constant pain because everything he tried had failed. I had high hopes in seeing Dr. Berg and arrived quite early for my 11:20 appt. I had my previsit paper work already filled out. I also had my CD's with MRI's and X-rays for the areas of pain and discomfort. The staff uploaded all my information supplied. Soon after my appt. time arrived I was taken to an exam room. Unlike any I have ever seen before. It only contained a monitor on the wall, patient chair and 1 for patient guest. A roll about stool for him and what looked like small night stand. Nothing else. No sink, desk, or anything else normally seen in an exam room. NO staff member came for vitals like BP, wt, etc. When the doctor came in, he introduced himself, very polite and courteous. and asked what's going on. I explained everything that has happened to me with my knee, hip, and neck and severe pains I have been experiencing the last several months. When I had finished, my opinion went downhill of him. The monitor on the wall had, it was ready for patient in exam room 4. I thought it was for displaying results from CD's I had given them at the start. Nothing. I was waiting for him to show me the results of those CD"s. Like pinched nerves, herniated discs, ETC. The screen remained blank through out the consultation and visit. All he said was my back was full of arthritis,( failed to show me anything,) and surgery was not an option and recommended I go back to my pain management provider and discuss a spinal stimulator be installed. In short, the visit was a big disappointment and waste of time and money.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams.
