I had double total hip replacement with Dr Mauffrey, one in February and the other in April, and the result has been life changing. I have degenerative osteoarthritis, and have already had multiple joint surgeries due to this condition. I also have an active lifestyle and enjoy road cycling, skiing, hiking. The degeneration in my hips had left me on crutches in the months prior to my surgeries, and now just 8 weeks after my second total hip I am working out with a personal trainer and am pain free. I can walk 4 miles continuously. My range of motion went from 5% to better than the average adult. Dr Mauffrey was very thoughtful to minimize the length of my scars, with one being just 2 inches long! Not sure how he managed to do it, but I am certainly grateful. He personally came to visit me in my hospital room the day of my first surgery after what had to have been a very long day. That was unbelievably touching to me, and cannot thank him enough for giving me my life back!
